René Erler studied acting at the ‘Hochschule für Musik und Theater’ in Leipzig. He worked for several years at the Staatsschauspiel Dresden and Theater Bautzen, where he carried out first theater pedagogical projects

For many years, he took roles in TV and film. He was part of the artistic and educational leading team at SOS ENSEMBLE Berlin, creating theater productions, short films and performances with unemployed teenagers and young adults. He is also an experiential pedagogue and playfight trainer. For several years he has been intensively involved with Michael Chekhov and his impulses for the art of acting. He studied at the Michael Chekhov International Academy, gained a teaching certificate in the MCIA methodology, is working as Assistant for the MCIA Intensive program and holding Chekhov open classes.
Events with René Erler
In the trainings a first approach to certain aspects of the technique will be conveyed. We will work on the specific of the Chekhov Technique and its tools to explore and research the unique power for the art of acting.
